Pandach militant attack case solved: Police

Police on Friday said it solved Pandach militant attack case by arresting “five uncategorized militants of ISJK who helped in transporting, logistics, planning and execution of the attack.”

In a statement, police said a case (FIR No 48/2020) was registered at police station Soura in connection with the attack which took place on May 20, resulting in killing of two BSF personnel.

   

“During investigation, four vehicles were seized which includes two private ambulances functioning at SKIMS, a bike and a Scooty. Accordingly approval for seizure of the vehicles was sought from the DGP, Dilbagh Singh who accorded the approval,” said the statement.

The statement said the ambulance (JK01AD0915) was used to transport the militants from Bijbehara to Pandach, Srinagar while the bike (No JK01AH2989) and Scooty (No JK01V 8288) were used to carry out the attack and escape after looting of weapons from the injured jawans. The ambulance (JK01AF 9417) was used to transport the militants back to Bijbehara from Srinagar,” said the statement.
