Passersby prevent girl from jumping into Jhelum in Baramulla

Baramulla, Mar 7: Locals in north Kashmir's Baramulla on Tuesday afternoon timely intervened to prevent a girl from committing suicide.

GNS reported that a girl was spotted by locals attempting to jump into the river Jhelum at cement-bridge in Baramulla. On noticing her doubtful movements, locals rushed towards her and foiled her attempt to jump into the water body.

Confirming it, a police officer said they are looking to ascertain under what circumstances the girl tried to end her life.
