Patients, attendants suffer as bank ATMs at SKIMS run dry
Patients and attendants at SKIMS Soura here Thursday appealed J&K Bank authorities to refill the cash in ATMs of the bank located inside the institution without any further delay.
Several customers told Greater Kashmir they are struggling hard for withdraw their money from ATMs.
"In SKIMS, there are two ATMs of J&K Bank. Both are running dry from yesterday 4pm. We need money to purchase medicines and other medical equipments for the patients," a group of attendants told Greater Kashmir over phone.
"We appeal J&K Bank authorities to refill these both ATMs without any further delay," they added.
Pertinently, J&K ATMs remain closed on Wednesday and process of refilling them was also stopped after a 23-year-old youth from Chattabal area of Srinagar was killed late Tuesday evening when he was returning home after finishing his duty of guarding an Automated Teller Machine of J&K Bank in old city.
No official from J&K Bank was available for comments.
