PDP-BJP govt has failed to ensure security of youth: Omar

Former chief minister and working president of  National Conference Omar Abdullah  on Tuesday said that if PDP- BJP government completes its full term it would leave Kashmir virtually in ruins.

Referring to missing MBBS Kupwara student in Odhisa whose father was grievously injured in accident on Sunday and is battling for life at SKIMS,  Omar said, “The government has failed to ensure security of youth especially students outside the state. It has miserably failed on all fronts.”

   

Earlier Omar visited the families’ of accident victims in Chowkibal village and expressed solidarity with the bereaved. “The government is also responsible for increasing number of youths turning to militancy. The situation at borders and LoC  is worse as civilians are falling prey to the bullets everyday,” he added. 

The former chief minister assured all possible help to the survivors of Mushtaq Ahmad Kataria and his brother Liyakat Ahmad Kataria.

Suhail Aijaz Kataria, pursuing MBBS at AIIMS medical college Odisha went missing on February 9, from the college hostel and has remained untraced till date.

“I share grief of the survivors who lost their bread earners,” Omar said.
