Pedestrian dies after hit by car in north Kashmir’s Kunzar

Srinagar June 16: A pedestrian died after hit by a car while crossing road in Batpora area of Kunzar in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district Wednesday morning, police said.

Station House Officer Kunzar, Athar Parvaiz told Greater Kashmir that Wasim Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Rasool Mir, a resident of Habligam Devbugh in Kunzar was crossing the road in the area when a car bearing registration number JKOIJ 8333 hit him around 9:15 am this morning leaving him grievously inured.

   

The driver of the car later removed Mir to SDH Magam for first aid, Parvaiz said.

The SHO Kunzar said that from SDH Magam, Mir was referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment, but died on way.

He further informed that a police party has been sent to take the driver of the car into custody even as an FIR no 91/ 2021 under sections 279, 337 and 304A has been registered into the incident and further investigation has been taken up.
