PHE casual labourers on Monday evening called off their strike after authorities addressed their demands in a round of talks with their representatives.
The eight-day strike came to an end on Monday evening afterrepresentatives of PHE casual laborers were called by government for a meetingto sort out the issues.
The protest of PHE casual laborers had entered eighth day onMonday as hundreds of casual laborers assembled at Pratap Park on Mondaymorning demanding wages and regularisation.
PHE casual laborers were also demanding amendment in SRO-520which they said is extending fewer benefits to them.
The representatives of PHE casual laborers said demandsincluding release of wages, SRO 520 amendments were addressed in a meeting heldin Monday afternoon. They said solutions for other demands were also proposedduring the meeting.
