PM to visit J&K on May 19

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu and Kashmir on May 19 to inaugurate series of development projects. He will also attend a function at Sher-i-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) here.

The visit was confirmed to Greater Kashmir by the BJP national vice president Avinash Rai Khanna. Also, the invitation to the PM to attend SKUAST function has already been extended by Governor N N Vohra.  

   

Modi will lay foundation stone of Zojila tunnel. The project said to be Asia’s longest bi-directional tunnel was approved by the Union Cabinet at the cost of Rs Rs 6,809 crore in January. 

The PM will also inaugurate some other projects including highways of Jammu-Akhnoor and Sudhmahadev-Pul Doda.
