Two people were arrested by police on Friday in a burglary case in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Bilal Ahmad Sheikh and Sajad Ahmad Naikoo, both residents of Zainapora area of Shopian, were arrested by the police in a burglary case, and stolen items were recovered from their possession. The police official said that on questioning the duo confessed to their crime and stolen items were recovered from them.
A police official said they received a complaint from a shopkeeper, Farooq Ahmad Naikoo, whose shop at Zainapora was looted by some burglars on the intervening night of March 3 and 4. The duo have been taken into police custody and a case registered against them under FIR No 10/2018 u/s 457, 380 RPC.
