A policeman who was critically injured after being shot at by unknown gunmen in Louswani area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district has died.
Reports said the cop, identified as Muhammad Yaqoob, was fired upon by the gunmen at point blank range outside his home at Louswani, injuring him critically.
They said the injured cop was immediately taken to the PHC Newa where from he was referred to Srinagar. However, he succumbed on way to Srinagar.
This was the second attack on the policemen in south Kashmir today. Earlier in the day, a policeman was shot dead in Kulgam district.
