Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday disengaged a Special Police Officer (SPO) for violating the model code of conduct by participating in political activities.
The policeman, identified as SPO Mohd Ashraf (belt No.1244/SPO), was disengaged for taking part in a political rally.
SSP Kishtwar said the said policeman, posted at DistrictPolice Lines Kishtwar, was seen in a campaign of political leader.
