Police in Ganderbal filed charge sheet against five accused in the case of a blast in Manasbal in June last year that had left a dozen people wounded.
A mysterious explosion occurred inside the Manasbal park on June 17. Consequently, a case FIR number 20/2018 was registered under various sections of Ranbir Penal Code at police station Safapora, and unlawful activities prevention act.
“During course of investigation five accused were traced and arrested,” police said.
Police said the evidence collected during the investigation has substantiated the alleged offences, adding the accused had committed the act to “spread terror in the area which had adversely effected the tourism of Mansbal area.”
The charge sheet was presented before the Session Court Ganderbal.
Senior superintendent of police for Ganderbal, Khalil Ahmed Poswal told Greater Kashmir that after conclusion of the investigation, sanction for prosecution has been obtained from the government and accordingly police have produced the challan before court of law for a trial to begin.
