Baramulla police on Saturday filed chargesheet against four LeT militants and their four accomplices in connection with the murder of three youth of old town Baramulla on April 30.
Irfan Ahmad Sheikh, Muhammad Asghar Sheikh and Haseeb Nabi khan were killed after they were shot at by LeT militants near Kakar Hamam area in Baramulla on April 30, as per police. All the three youth were killed on the spot.
Police have filed a chargesheet in the court of Principal District and Session judge Baramulla against four LeT militants – Aijaz Gojri and Bilal Najar, while Shoaib Akhoon and a Pakistani militant, Muhammad Bhai are still at large. Police have also charge-sheeted four accomplices who, as per the chargesheet, abetted in the commission of crime.
Police have produced two AK47 rifles and one pistol used in the crime before the honourable court. Besides oral and scientific evidence, including vehicle used in the crime, a copy of opinion from forensic science Laboratory confirming that bullets recovered from scene of crime have been fired from same weapon, was appended in the chargesheet.
Soon after the murder of three youth, a special investigation team headed by DySP Headquarter Baramulla was constituted to investigate the killings.
