Seven PHE daily wagers sustained injuries as police used force to foil their secretariat march Monday. The protesters were seeking regularization of their services. 

According to reports, the PHE workers assembled at Kothibagh but the police swung into action when they started their march to the civil secretariat.  The police took into custody several workers, reports said.

The injured have been identified as Ajaz Ahmad Ahangar, Muzaffar Ahmad, Shabir Ahmad, Latief Ahmad, Sarvar Ahmad, Rizwan Ahmad, Zahoor Ahmad.

Chaos and confusion prevailed for some time in the busy MA Road and traffic movement also remained disrupted for a while.

Earlier, talking to media persons, Parray said that the authorities should regularize the services of daily wagers without any further delay. He said that more than 56000 families are suffering due to the delay caused by authorities.

Expressing resentment over the silence of government, he said that the poor, helpless and starving employees have been repeatedly lathi charged and detained to deny them their genuine rights.

Parray said that they would continue to fight for their rights.
