As a part of its public outreach programme, a police- public interaction meeting was facilitated at Police Station Sherghari.
The meeting was chaired by Taunshree (Prob) SHO PoliceStation Sherghari.
“The meeting was attended by the respectable citizensof Allochibagh area. The participants raised several social issues includingdrug menace, gambling and eve teasing near schools and coaching centers inparticular.
The main aim of these meetings is to create cordialPolice-Public relationship and to seek cooperation of community members ineradicating social evils from the society.
The participants appreciated the efforts of police forfacilitating such meetings where participants express their views freely andassured their full cooperation to police in tackling social evils in the area.They also praised the efforts of Police for their timely action regarding anyillegal activities in the area,” police spokesperson said in a statement.
