A Police Public meeting was held at Police Station Karan Nagar in which members of Welfare Committee Karan Nagar, Mohalla Committee Syed MansoorSahab and Mohalla Committee Gole Market participated, a police spokesman said.
He said the meeting was chaired by SP South G V Sundeep,along with SDPO ShaheedGunj and SHO Karan Nagar. During the meeting, variousissues were raised by the participants. The charing officer assured theparticipants that issues pertaining to police will be redressed on priority andthose pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concernedauthorities, the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, police in Kupwaraorganised a drug de-addictionprogramme at district police lines on Sunday, a statement said. It said focusof the programme was to provide insight to general public about the seriousnessof drug addiction. The SSP KupwaraAmbarkarShriramDinkar spoke about drugaddiction and treatment facilities available at Police Drug De-addictionCentre, PCR Kashmir. He highlighted the drug addiction scenario of Kashmir, thecauses and consequences of addiction.
