Police raid JKLF chief Yasin Malik’s residence: Spokesman

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday raided the residence of JKLF chief Yasin Malik in a bid to arrest him, said a party spokesman.

To evade arrest, he said, Malik was not present at his home in Maisuma.

“JKLF has strongly condemned this nocturnal raid on Yasin sahib’s residence and said that on one hand DGP is issuing statements that protest on state subject law will be allowed but on the other hand we are witnessing police raids and arrests which is highly condemnable,” said the spokesman.

JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik has called for shutdown tomorrow and day after against the “planned abrogation” of Article 35-A.
