Polytechnic students stage protest

Demanding conduct of online exams for backlog and regular students, polytechnic students today staged a protest at press enclave here.

Students from various polytechnic college assembled at press colony pressing for the demand of online exams for their various backlog and regular semesters.

“As our classes had been held online in 2G connectivity, we could not study at such low speeds and giving offline exams will be too much to handle. Since the administration of UT Jammu and Kashmir restored the 4G connectivity, the exams should be held online,” said one of the students.

Students further added that the UT of Ladakh was given a go for the online exams, ‘so why the same cannot be done here.’

“We appeal the administration to conduct online examinations so that we may not have to suffer anymore,” the students added.

Despite constant appeals to the authorities the students have decided to stage a sit in protest at the polytechnic board.
