A man died on Wednesday afternoon in Shadipora area of Ganderbal district when the car he was driving came under a heavy poplar tree.
Ghulam Mohammad Khan, a resident Narbal area, district Budgam, died on the spot after a poplar tree fell on his car.
Police sources said some persons in Shadipora Ganderbal were cutting the poplar trees. “A heavy tree fell on his car resulting in his on the spot death.”
Khan was driving Maruti 800 bearing registration number JKO1R 3736.
Meanwhile, police station Shadipora Ganderbal lodged an FIR in the matter and the body was handed over to the family.
