Poppy cultivation destroyed in Baramulla

Srinagar, June 10: Police and civil authorities destroyed poppy cultivation spread on vast area of land in  Baramulla.

According to  a press release a specific information was received by police regarding illegal cultivation of Poppy (opium plant) at Khamindarpora, Zaspora and Pazalpora areas of Tangmarg. Accordingly, a police party of Police Station Tangmarg and  civil authorities reached the spots and destroyed the illegally cultivated poppy spread over nearly about 3.5 kanals of land.
