Police on Saturday rescued a 26-year-old pregnant woman by facilitating her journey to the Community Health Centre (CHC) here in a vehicle after she developed medical complications.
SDPO Hajin Mubashir Rasool Bhat said, “We received a callfrom a local saying that a 26-year-old pregnant woman living in a far-flungvillage of Vijpara has developed pregnancy-related complications and is in direneed of urgent medical attention.”
“Under the supervision of SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik,immediately a team was sent to the village and the lady was ferried to SumbalHospital for further treatment,” SDPO said.
The Medical Superintendent CHC Hajin Dr Muzafffar said thatthe lady is seven months pregnant and is now under observation in the hospital.
