Government forces on Wednesday foiled a proposed pro-freedom march in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district and detained three youth.
Locals in Sherpathri area of the district were planning to take out a rally according to the programme announced by the resistance leadership.
However, forces were deployed in strength in the area to prevent the march.
Three youths were detained after a mild stone-pelting incident near Hakim-Gund in the area.
Meanwhile, youth erected barricades in Pandach on Ganderbal- Buchipora old road.
Groups of youth resorted to stone pelting in Ahmadnagar and Takiya on Ganderbal- Soura 90 ft road.
