Bar association Baramulla on Tuesday condemned the statement of an official in which he had proposed to shift the Post Office Passport Seva kendra from Baramulla to neighbouring district.
“The members of Bar Association Baramulla express their deep anguish over the aforesaid news and the stand taken by superintendent of Post Office Baramulla regarding the establishment of passport seva Kendra” Bar association Baramulla said in a statement.
In connection with the issue, the Baramulla Bar association held a meeting under the chairmanship of adovocate Abdul Salam Rather. The meeting was attended by all the members if Bar.
“The bar members impressed upon all the concerned authorities that they should in no case do any such act which may be detrimental to the establishment of Pass Port Seva Kendra at the district,” the statement said.
