Protest at Kundalan Shopian after army vehicle hits motorcyclist

Protests erupted at Kundalan village of Shopian district on Thursday after an army vehicle hit three motorcyclists on Wednesday night.

Hundreds of locals assembled at main chowk Kundlan and staged protests against government forces. The protesters demanded stern action against the driver of the army vehicle.

   

According to locals, a Casper vehicle of the army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles allegedly hit a motorcycle on last night in Kundalan village, leaving three persons injured. The injured were immediately shifted to Srinagar for specialised treatment.

Superintendent of police Shopian, Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar said that legal proceedings have been initiated in this matter.
