Protesters damage HPVT ambulance

Help Poor Voluntary Trust (HPVT) Tuesday said one of its ambulances, ferrying patient from north Kashmir to Srinagar, was damaged by the protesters.

Help Poor Voluntary Trust (HPVT) Tuesday said one of its ambulances, ferrying patient from north Kashmir to Srinagar, was damaged by the protesters.

"One of the ambulances, JK01U/7735, was ferrying a patient from Sopore to SHMS Srinagar when protestors at Wadoora stopped it and beat its driver Muhammad Shafi," Fayaz Ahmad, General Secretary of the Trust told Greater Kashmir over phone.  He said that protesters also damaged the ambulance. "The incident has put all our ambulances under threat and their drivers are not ready to ferry patients now from north Kashmir to Srinagar," he said.

He appealed public to ensure smooth movement of ambulances ferrying patients.
