Protestors set ablaze hutment over personal animosity in Budgam: Police

Some angry protestors on Friday set ablaze a hutment at Char-e-Sharief here.

Sources said a group of agitated protestors appeared at Doudkhot village of the area and set blaze a hutment belonging to Ghulam Qadir Dar. The ensuing flames also engulfed Dar’s cowshed.

   

Police in a statement said: “Miscreants in the afternoon today set one residential house and a hutment (Kotha) ablaze at Doodkathoo…over some personal animosity. Police has taken cognizance of the incident and FIR has been registered in the instant matter. The investigation in this case is under way”.

Later, protestors clashed with police who tried to stop them from setting house ablaze which were going on till late evening.
