Protests in favour of rapists added new chapter to criminal history: Malik

Incarcerated chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik today said the rape and murder of eight-year old Asifa in a temple and protest in favor of killers and rapists added a new chapter to criminal history of the world.

“This is a new chapter in criminal history of the world in which killers and rapists are being supported by unfurling the flag of a nation and by raising the name of their god known as Rama,” a spokesman the Front, in a statement today, quoted Yasin Malik as having said in his message from Srinagar Central Jail.

“Where is humanity and where has human instincts perished? Is this that religion teaches us and is this what we call as civilization and modernity?” Yasin Malik asked.

Calling for a stern punishment to killers and rapists of Asifa, JKLF chairman said, “People who have and are trying to communalize such crimes should feel some shame and for their inhuman behavior.”

Meanwhile, Yasin Malik, while condemning civilian killings, said, “Blood of Kashmiris has been turned into a cheap commodity and from Shopian to Kulgam and Sonawari to Handwara blood of Kashmiris is being spilled on roads by Indian bullets and pellets with impunity. Instead of having some remorse on this human loss, pro-India politicians, Indian army, forces and police are busy putting blame on the victims.”

Yasin Malik said, “Those who have choked every little space on peaceful political activities, who incarcerate political activists under black laws, who use military and police might to suppress peoples voices should also introspect their deeds and instead of putting blame on the victims try to have some regret on humans.”
