Joint Committee of Private Schools (JCPS) today hailed the Government decision to postpone the board examination of the classes X and XII to November.
In a statement, JCPS said the students had not completed the syllabus and deferring the exams by over one month "is a welcome step."
Chairman of the JCPS Showkat Chowdhary said: "We welcome this decision. Earlier, the government had intended to hold exams as usual in October which was not possible for students to appear in short period of time. Now after the intervention of the minister, the exams have been postponed till November which would provide breather to students for preparing for exams," he said.
