Police have arrested an accused against whom charges of rape were made in Police Station Ram Munshi Bagh.
A statement said a complaint was recieved of an alleged rapeof a minor girl by a shopkeeper.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 20/2020 was registered at PoliceStation Ram Munshi Bagh and the police team tracked the accused and arrestedhim.
“He has been identified as Fazil Salim resident ofBatwara, Srinagar,” the police statement said, adding that all standardoperating procedures as mandated under POCSO act are being followed.
