A rare musk deer was captured by locals in Chahtergul area of Kangan in Ganderbal district Thursday evening.
Sources said the musk deer was spotted in the area by somelocals who managed to captured it.
Locals said that later they informed the Wildlife officialsand it was handed over to them.
Forester Wildlife Department Ganderbal, Abdul Rasheed toldGreater Kashmir that they recovered the musk deer from the locals at Chahtergularea which they had captured on Thursday.
He said the musk deer was shifted to Dachigam.
