Awami Ithehad Party (AIP) president and legislator Er Rasheed on Saturday condemned use of alleged force and arrest of civilians in Handwara.
In a statement, Rasheed said, “Use of force against civilians and …forces are crossing all limits”.
“Similarly dozens were injured and the window panes and other property were damaged in Shartgund Bala, Teerina, Prungroo and Qalamabad areas,” he alleged. He also condemned the authorities for detaining youth “who were on way to Lolab to attend the last rites of Manan Wani”.
Meanwhile, Rasheed said his party will carry out a protest rally in Srinagar against the alleged harassment of Kashmiri students studying outside the state.
