Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Sunday said that he was deeply saddened and distressed over the death of five members of a family and two others in cross LoC firing at Mendhar area of Poonch in Jammu region.
“Such tragic situations can easily be avoided if India and Pakistan realise the futility of hostility and adopted the realistic and humanistic approach of resolution of the long pending Kashmir dispute a give real peace a chance,” Mirwaiz wrote on twitter.
