Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) president Shah Faesal called on Governor Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday and discussed wide range of issues with him, a JKPM spokesman said in a statement.
“Shah Faesal briefed the Governor regarding the plight ofpolitical detainees and sought his intervention in seeking their immediaterelease,” he added.
Discussing the current political situation in the state,Shah Faesal requested the Governor to completely withdraw the National Highway(NH) ban order as it has put millions of people to extreme hardships and’alienated’ Kashmiris further.
“Faesal suggested that the Governor’s administration shouldensure justice to the unemployed educated youth of the state by providing thememployment opportunities and ensuring transparency in recruitment process,” thestatement stated, adding that “JKPM will make all sacrifices to uphold thedignity of the people of the state and work for their progress and wellbeing.”
Pertinently, it was Shah Faesal’s first meeting with theGovernor since he quit IAS to launch his new political party J&K PeoplesMovement.
