Residential house gutted in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Nov 9: A residential house was completely gutted in a fire incident in Beehama area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on the intervening night of November 8 and 9.

Locals said that fire broke out in the house of Mohammad Amin Mir at Beehama during the intervening night of November 8 and 9 and engulfed the whole structure. Fire tenders along with locals and police soon after the incident reached the spot and tried to douse the flames, however it had caused a massive damage to the property. The fire was later controlled by fire tenders from spreading further.

   

In the fire incident property worth lakhs including utensils, clothes and other household goods were damaged.

On Thursday morning, Tehsildar Ganderbal, SHO Ganderbal along with a revenue team visited the area and assured relief from administration to the affected families.

Locals have urged the administration to provide immediate relief and rehabilitation for the fire affected families. Former MLA Ganderbal Ishfaq Jabbar also visited the fire affected family and assured help .
