Senior resistance leader and National Front (NF) chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan has expressed  concern over the "rise of fanatics' in Jammu and Kashmir right under the official patronage' of PDP-BJP regime."

"It is a matter of great concern that RSS is being allowed a free run in the state and that too in the Chenab region where we have sensitive ratio of population and already Hindutva village defense committees (VDCs) have wrecked havoc on Muslim community. The world history bears testimony to the fact that wherever extremist groups are given free run the societies collapse," Nayeem Khan, in a statement today, said.

"The rise of RSS augurs very bad for the peace and stability of South Asian region and this needs to be looked upon.  From sometime now the Hindutva groups especially with extremist agenda are given a free run and the Indian government is giving them full support and the state level PDP-BJP regime is also lending them all support. Brandishing weapons, threatening minorities and creating fear psychosis are just the grave tactics employed by these groups," he said.  He castigated police for 'ransacking' residential houses in Sozeth, Narbal.
