The vice president of Democratic Freedom Party Mehmood Ahmed Saghar while expressing serious concern over government's move to grant domicile certificate to West Pakistan Refugees has said termed it as "part of greater conspiracy intended to convert Muslim majority state into a minority." "The nefarious plan to settle outsiders in Kashmir is a direct threat to state's religious and cultural identity", Saghar said this in statement.

"It is actually the BJP calling shots on the ground. Had the PDP legislators an iota of respect for public mandate they would have preferred to resign rather than acting like lame ducks on the issue of this issue of vital national interest," Saghar said.

Urging pro-freedom leadership to devise a joint mechanism he said that it was high time that all political forces as well as the civil society representatives should join hands to frustrate nefarious design of the government of India.
