Salahuddin condemns Pulwama killings

United Jihad Council (UJC) chairman Syed Salahuddin on Sunday asked Pakistan to stop “begging” before India for talks and instead “aggressively” help Kashmir struggle on all fronts.

Condemning the Pulwama civilian and militant killings, Salahuddin, in a statement said that New Delhi was “implementing a pre-planned policy of killing unarmed Kashmiris and inflicting economic hardships on them”. “How long shall the global community keep watching the Indian brutality in Kashmir like a mute spectator?” he asked, while addressing a high-level meeting of UJC in Muzaffarabad.

Salahuddin, according to the statement, said that the silence of world leaders was encouraging the Indian leadership to “pursue its policy of aggression and brutality in the valley”.

The Hizbsupremo urged Pakistan to make more diplomatic efforts to break the world silence over killings and oppression in Kashmir.

“As a party to the dispute, Pakistan needs to move beyond offering moral and political support to oppressed Kashmiris,” Salahuddin said, according to the statement.
