Sehrai anguished over school blast in Pulwama

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai today expressed deep pain and anguish over the mysterious explosion in a Pulwama school in which 28 children were injured.

“The children and students who are the worst sufferers of conflict and prime victims of violence have been exposed to different kinds of vulnerabilities in conflict-ridden Kashmir. They have not only suffered direct injuries with bullets, with pellet guns, with tear gas shells but they have been subjected to all the gory brutalities by forces in Kashmir. The children of this lawless land are being arrested and harassed to the level that it has traumatised their psyche,” Sehrai said in a statement.

Sehrai  also condemned the “assault on Kashmiri students in Chattisgarh state where they have been beaten to pulp with iron rods by extremist group resulting injuries to four students.”

“Meanwhile, a delegation of TeH leaders today visited the residence of slain Idrees Ahmad in Kulgam and  offered condolence with the family. Another visited the residence of Mufti Bashir U Din and offered condolence on behalf of party chairman Sehrai sahib,” a TeH spokesman said in a statement.
