Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai today condemned the arrest of party district president Budgam Tashooq Banday, Mustafa Dar, Manzoor Ahmed and other activists.

"Deliberate tactics are being employed to prolong thedetention of Kashmiri prisoners and deny them medical facilities," Sehrai saidin a statement terming it as nothing but 'sheer vendetta'.

"We express serious concern over the deteriorating health condition of Ghulam Mohi -ud -Din Mir, who is a heart patient and supported by pace maker and another incarcerated Muhammad Abbas Wani who is languishing in central jail since a decade who is also unwell and despite that facing extreme suppression in terms of absence of all the basic facilities guaranteed by the jail manuals.

Similar treatment is meted out to the political prisoners from Kashmir who are lodged in various jails outside Jammu and Kashmir which is a serious concern and a cause of worry," the statement stated.

"We also express concern over the deteriorating healthcondition of Muslim League general secretary Abdul Ahad Parra who islanguishing in jail for the last one month," Sehrai said. He demanded therelease of all incarcerated political social and religious leaders andactivists.
