Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated in Kashmir tomorrow as the Shawwal moon has been sighted.

On Sunday evening, Pakistan's central Ruet-i-Hilal Chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman announced that Shawwal moon was sighted in most of the areas of the country and Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated tomorrow (Monday), the Dawn News reported. 

Shawwal moon has also been sighted in Indian cities of Lucknow and Hyderabad. 

Eid was today celebrated in Arab countries, Southeast Asian countries. 

However in Sub-Continent it would be celebrated tomorrow.

Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated on first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal, marking the culmination of month-long Ramadan.

Shawwal is the 10th month of the lunar Islamic calendar.
