A 13-year-old young boy died after being hit by a shooting stone near Zojila pass on Srinagar-Leh highway on Wednesday.
Reports said that Abrar Ahmed Khatana son of Ishtiyaq Ahmed Khatana resident of Verinag died on the spot after a shooting stone hit him near Zojila pass.
A police official told Greater Kashmir that the deceased was travelling to Kargil in a truck driven by his father.
“They had halted their vehicle to have lunch on the roadside near Panimath area and in the meantime a stone rolled down from a hillock and hit the young boy,” he said.
