Shopian, Pulwama shut on eighth straight day against civilian killings

Shopian and Pulwama districts observed complete shutdown for the 8th consecutive day on Thursday to mourn the civilian killings.

All shops, business establishments, government and private offices remained closed in these districts while public and private transport was off the roads.

   

An official said that contingents of forces were deployed at sensitive locations in the districts to maintain law and order. 

Mobile Internet service in both Pulwama and Shopian districts remained suspended for the ninth consecutive day.
