Shutdown is being observed in Handwara and Langate areas of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district against the killing of a local militant on Tuesday.
All shops and other business establishments are closed, while traffic is off the roads.
Two militants belonging to Lashkar-e-Toiba were killed in a gunfight at Galoora area of Handwara on Tuesday.
Furkan (18) was buried yesterday at his ancestral graveyard in Langate.
