Five militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba were killed in a gunfight with the forces in Sumlar forests of the district yesterday.

All shops and other business establishments are closed while public transport remained badly affected due to the shutdown in Bandipora town and the Sumlar village, located four kilometers from the district headquarters.

Meanwhile, locals at Sumlar have retrieved some remains of a slain militant from the site of the gunfight.
