Condemning the slapping of draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) on Altaf Ahmad Waza, President Beopar Mandal, Singpora, the Kashmir Economic Alliance Chairman Muhammad Yasin Khan on Monday warned the government to release him forthwith or face the "fury of business community."

"Mr Waza happens to be a representative of the business community. PSA has been slapped against him and [he has been] shifted to Kathua. This is aggression of the state government to frighten the Kashmir Inc but such tactics can't suppress us," said Khan, who also heads the Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF).

"Govt has started harassing traders' community, but let it be clear to the oppressive rulers that trade fraternity will continue to support the Hurriyat program till the last breath," Khan said.

He also condemned the slapping of PSA on Advocate Babbar, a leader from Chenab Valley.

The KEA Chairman also sought immediate release of EJAC leaders including their President Qayoom Wani. "Some of the ministers and officials are acting as more loyal than the king and are part of such conspiracies of jailing our brethren. Nothing is going unnoticed," said Khan.

Ridiculing the government claims of Jamhooriyat, he asked the State and central governments: "Is slapping PSA on genuine voices of people democratic?"
