Continuing its drive against social evils, Police arrested six gamblers from a gambling site.
“Following an input about gambling activities inChandpora area of Harwan a police party led by Mir Hafeezullah, SHO PoliceStation Harwan raided a gambling site and apprehended six gamblers on spot.They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station Harwan where they remainin custody. Officers have also seized playing cards and stake money of Rs 8,500from the gamblers,” police spokesperson said in a state
“Case FIR No.13/2020 under relevant sections of law hasbeen registered in Police Station Harwan and further investigation into thematter has been initiated. Persons found indulging in criminal activities shallbe dealt as per law. General Public has applauded this act of Police. Communitymembers are requested to share information regarding the crimes in theirneighbourhood with the local police units,” the statement said.
