A day after five CRPF troopers were killed in a Fidayeen (suicide) attack by three militants in Lethpora area of Pulwama in south Kashmir, a video of one of the attackers urging Kashmiri youth to join the “fight against India” has emerged on social media.
Seated between three assault rifles and a huge cache of ammunition including grenades and communication devices, 16-year-old Fardeen Ahmad Khanday in a composed tone says that “by the time this video reaches you I would be a guest in heaven”.
Khanday, son of a serving policeman, was killed after he and two other Jaish militants attacked a paramilitary camp in Pulwama in south Kashmir on Sunday.
Five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed in the attack. The other two attackers were also killed.
Khandey said that it was being made out as if unemployment was driving Kashmiri youths to take to militancy. “But the fact is that it is nothing (but) propaganda,” he says, in the nearly eight-minute video, which has since gone viral on social networking websites.
“Watchers, the reason for me and my colleagues choosing this dangerous path is that the maker Indian security forces and agencies are shedding tears on our unemployment and saying that it is because of unemployment that boys are joining the ranks of mujahedeen (militants). This doesn’t serve more than a mere propaganda,” says Khanday.
While calling Islam a complete way of life, Khanday says that Jihad is also faraz (mandatory) for a Muslim and urges youths to join militancy.
The importance of jihad increases when infidels occupy our land and threaten the modesty of our women, he says.
“My friends and I have listened to the call of Qura’n and plunged into the battlefield of jihad. This will continue till the last occupying soldier is present in Kashmir,” he says in Urdu.
“Hasn’t the chastity of our sisters an women been torn apart in Kashmir? Which cruelty hasn’t been launched against Kashmiris? How many innocent youngsters are languishing in jails for years? Hundreds have been disabled and women have been widowed. Hundreds of Kashmiris have been buried in unknown graves”.
Khanday, who has joined militancy barely three months before says that the natural resources of Kashmiris are being looted.
“Kashmir’s natural resources on which there is right of Kashmiris are been looted wantonly. Indian rulers are looting Kashmiri resources to fill the stomach of Indians,” he says.
Khandey also invoked the Babri Masjid demolition issue to ask Indian Muslims to join Jihad. “… I want to call upon Muslims in India…Ghazwa-e-Hind is yet to come”.
A resident of Tral, hometown of slain Hizb commander Burhan Wani, talks about the recent Fidayeen attacks in Humhama, Pathankot, Nagrota and on District Police Lines Pulwama to claim that “Jaish-e-Muhammad was impossible to stop”.
In the video Khanday while mentioning the recent Fidayeen attacks on Humhama and Pulwama police lines, he also mentions about Babri Masjid, Nagrota and Tanghdar attacks.
