Hundreds of people on Monday participated in the last rites of slain central reserve police force (CRPF) man who was killed after militants attacked a training camp of the force in Lehtpora area in Pulwama district on Sunday.
SharifuddinGanaie, a resident of GanaieMohallaNagamChadoora in Budgam district, had joined the CRPF five years back, according to a family source. He was a bachelor and survived by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
Quoting a witness, local news gathering agency CNS said that hundreds of people, mostly women, wailed and beat their chests as the body of Ganaie arrived in the native village on Sunday evening. Hundreds of mourners participated in his last rites on Monday, the witness said. CNS
