Snatching eyesight by pellets has become a tactic: Yasin Malik

Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik today alleged that snatching the eyesight of the youth by the pellets had remained infamous tactic of incumbent government in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Since 2016, the rulers are pursuing a policy to kill and maim the Kashmiri youth, and snatching the eyesight of the young Kashmiris by the pellets has remained the most infamous tactic of them. It seems that Mehbooba regime, obeying the orders of her Nagpur masters has decided to snatch eyesight of more and more Kashmiris,” a spokesman of the Front, in a statement today, quoted Yasin Malik as having said  while talking to the injured youth at SMHS hospital here.

“Yasin Malik, who along with other Front leaders today visited the SMHS hospital here, met the pellet and bullet hit victims including Qaiser Ahmad Butt, Umar Farooq, Soorat Majeed Butt, Faisal Ahmad Lone, Irfan Ahmad Dar, Gulzar Ahamd, Aqeel Ahmad, Ishfaq Ahmad Wani and Shakir Ahmad and enquired about their well-being,” the spokesman said.

The JKLF chairman said, “The Indian rulers and their Kashmiri stooges in the form of PDP led ruling regime have turned into vampires whose thirst for Kashmiri blood is not relinquishing by any means. The present regime will be remembered for its snatch-eyesight-policy.”

Meanwhile, the incarcerated zonal president of JKLF Noor Muhammad Kalwal, who was arrested on April 6, has been shifted to the central jail now.

“He was presented before a court yesterday which granted a three-day judicial remand to him and ordered to shift him to the central jail Srinagar. Noor sahib has been bailed out in many cases but police by slapping new cases on him are trying to prolong his incarceration which is highly condemnable,” the spokesman said, adding that “JKLF deputy chief organizer Siraj Ud Din Mir and the district president Abdul Rashid Magloo are also in jail for the last many weeks and have been shifted to Kotbalwal Jail under black law PSA.”
