The Sopore coordination committee members on Saturday held a sit-in at Iqbal market here to protest the attempts to revoke Article 35-A,
Under the banner of coordination committee, the members of traders federation Sopore, civil society, Bar Association Sopore, fruit growers and dealers association sopore, teachers association Sopore, private school association Sopore, members of NGO Dawn, Imams of Masjids, members of Industrial Estate Sopore, Members of Anjuman Moin-ul-islam Sopore, members of Press club of Sopore participated in the protest.
Addressing a gathering, various speakers said that Kashmiris would protect the special status at any cost.
“We will shed our blood to defend Article 35-A which is our identity,” said Haji Muhammad Ashraf Ganaie, president traders federation Sopore.
