Sopore fruit trader missing for over two months now, distressed family seeks admin's help

Srinagar, Nov 30: The family of a missing 48-yr-old fruit trader from Sopore area in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Tuesday sought help from the administration to trace him.

According to news agency KNO, the family of Ghulam Nabi Naikoo lodged a protest at Srinagar's press enclave to seek Naiko's whereabouts.

Naiko, as per the family had been working as a trader at fruit mandi Sopore and left for Shopian for business purpose on 22 September this year, but went missing the same day.

The family said that Naikoo talked to them on phone at 5:45 PM that evening and said that he was nearby and would reach home soon.

"But his phone got switched off after that, " a family member said adding they were not able to trace him ever since.

The family members appealed to the LG Manoj Sinha led J&K administration to trace Naikoo to end their distress.
